I have been with snl for 9 months now driving dry vans regionally. I would like to transfer to the oilfied as i am already living in texas. I have had one accident (clipped a utility pole while making a turn) and got stuck in a ditch. It seems that snl is on the low end of pay as compared to other outfits and i will apply with other companies as well. As for driving a semi otr it is not so bad. You will not make any money for awhile but after 6 months you will get a pretty good pay raise (32 a mile) and with all the freight that snl has you will be driving some serious miles. It is a good way for a newbie to learn the business.

My husband has his Class A with tanker, and is looking for employment. He doesn't have much driving experience. We currently live in Minnesota. Is there opportunities for him with little to no experience?
Chibob Thanks this. -
