The good is great insurance. Normally you can run around 2500 plus miles a week. You will be paid .40cpm with your experience and never get a increase. If you are good with idle time and not running with the pedal to the medal you can usually get the fuel bonus every month. Safety bonus is pretty easy to get as well. But we have E logs and too many times going over hours. on the elogs will disqualify you for safety bonus. They are also talking about putting the Dash cam in the trucks. They are going to test them in 100 trucks for now. I don't have an issue with it but some do. Trucks go 65. Should be getting some new trucks in pretty soon. Equipment is pretty good and they don't give you a hassle with getting things fixed on the road.
Bad is we haul a lot of our own product so instead of getting a load when you are empty in the morning. If you are near a plant. You will probably get dispatched on a load that night. Sometimes it might be ready early but most of times a few hours after the scheduled pick up. It hasn't been a very good week for me. I was sent to Oregon monday, and Yesterday they finally sent me a load, but it doesn't pick up until tomorrow going to Utah out of California. This is the second time I went to Oregon and had to sit. So will try to stay away from here, but normally they can keep you moving in the other area's. -
Thank about going to s e region,paying .46 cent
-
You might avg about 2,000 miles a week on the se regional. The regional pays higher because you do lots of sitting and don't get very many miles. If you don't mind picking up at chicken plants and doing a lot of waiting it shouldn't be too bad. I know they just sent a message for 10 otr drivers to do the SE regional for 2 months with a guaranteed 2400 miles a week but no layover or detention pay. I did see a guy in TX the other day who was on the SE regional. It wouldn't be bad if they let you stretch your wings and get a long run in every now and then, but not sure how they run it, but he was complaining about miles. But just don't think you will get big miles if they are paying .46. Just a heads up.

I just swapped a load with a guy on the s.e. reagional that is now taking him to ankeny iowa. They have freight from marshaltown ia to the s.e. often. I know the Louisville plant has alot of se loads as well along with all the chicken dinomite mentioned. The se dispatcher is christina also known as Q. I dont like her but alot of the reasons why is because I was promised one thing and got another. When I got off her fleet I found out I wasnt suppose to be promised anything so it wasnt so much the dispatchers fault as it was more management. That being said ive talked to alot of drivers who dont like her and a couple who do.

I wanted to add thats if your dispatched out of greeley. Jbs also has some drivers dispatched out of oakland georgia but most of those guys are goin from chicken plant to chicken plant.
