Hey Nate
You are fairly new to the patch,(& have been around) is it all "milk & honey" like most of the wanabes/newbees say it is ?
6 figures, steady shifts, regular rotations and paid flights ? -
Better even. 7days on 14 days off. Company truck as signing bonus for floor sweepers on up

o yea it's just never ending money! For me I've had it pretty easy though with the bosses being good guys. I made 30 grand from jan 2nd until march 28. That was working lotsa 16 hour days, 2 weeks straight and then one day off, but i cleaned thr truck on my day off. I had some travel expenses covered with my 2 jobs out here.
It slowed down at the beginning of march so they contracted out to a hydro company. I worked my ### off and one of the owner with the hydro company took notice and offered me a job. 5 dollar raise, hotels everynight plus sub. Learning how to run equipment so I'm not driving all the time. Just in time too since everyone's sitting at home at the old job. -
Good timing for break up for sure.

Still busy in northern bc?

Hydro isn't bad work , always in demand. I did one job years back, we were trying to hydro piers down somewhere between 50-60' below ground level. Even with 28" of vacuum that is beyond max. We had to keep at least half air in the hose or it just plugged. By the time we got to depth the top of the holes had expanded to where there was danger of falling in. especially since we were 8 inches deep in clay mud. Lets see pier itself 30 ' deep 3.5' tapering to 12". Falling in = very bad

It's slow this time of year, we'll see come mid June. If the NDP get's in it could kill us.

Yeah! Another Bill Barrett.
Back when Barrett got in a friend called me at 3 AM in my room in Toronto. Said they had something new, something like that chicken out outfit. (KFC) But we call it the Barrett Bucket, full of left wings and a holes. -
Lol, you mean Bennett ha ha, understood though. But I believe he was the biggest public opponent of HST which they brought in anyway despite opposition an has since been voted against so now we are back to pst and gst...
