Oiltrax is great. I used to use it when i was doing infield work and it was fairly acuratte. It needed to be updated every couple of weeks to stay current with all the new wells that were being drilled, but as long as it had the well in the memory it would route you there very accuratly.

???
I use it every day and in 2 years it has never been updated.

Basically it adds a searchable city sub layer where all the LSD points west of the 1st to the bc border can be routed to as a "town".
So whether there is a well or a cow there you can put in the land address and it will route you there.

It also adds in all line roads and road allowances as navigatable so beware its route pathing.

Great product, essential really for new areas or new drivers.

How much does tis OilTraxx cost? I downloaded an app on my Samsung Galaxy 2 called "Landtracker" for $10 and it basically does the same thing as OilTraxx. It has wells as new as 2 months old, I havnt been to any newer ones yet. I find it very handy and it works like a charm!

It costs about $250 from OilTrax but you can get it cheaper online from Prairie Geomatics Ltd or GPS Central. It is fairly accurate but it will show/route you to the downhole LSD, which could be 2-3kms away from the actual wellsite. Landtracker does the same downhole locating but it is way cheaper and it uses google maps which IMO show more than Garmin.
