You didn't ask this stuff before orientation?

Orientation depends on if you are going company or lease op. I think I remember your first load out is Thursday or Friday if you are lease. Holiday Inn is where you put you, no roommate. My husband's truck hits the governor at 72, but if you want to make money, you won't drive that fast. I don't know where the company trucks are set.

 

I did ask just wanted to make sure I wasn't getting a load of bull like all other company's do just to get u there then it's all differ once u arrive I'm going as a company driver thanks for the reply

 

hotel is nice Holiday Inn. you are in a room by yourself. company trucks are flat footed 63 and cruise is set at 65. I just went through orientation this week finishing up my second load today pick up tomorrow . it is all about fuel mileage here.
good luck with orientation we started out with with 9 ended up with 6. really isn't that different than any other company other than the fact they want great fuel mileage.

yes love those pre plans have one for Maple Heights to Milwaukee Wisconsin for Sunday Monday. left out on Wednesday after orientation and turn in 2200 at the end of Monday night.

 

That'll be a nice paycheck with the bonus. Pretty soon you'll see that you don't have to run crazy miles to make a really good check.

You'll be surprised... Act doesn't put you in a motel like most bs companies and doesn't treat you like a number.

Hotel is really nice, microwave and refrigerator in the room with room service available. Nice pool and jacuzzi, hot breakfast bar/restaurant and bar.

Orientation is 2.5 days, you leave Wed. afternoon with your first load going thru the house unless you don't want to.

Truck top speed and running bunch of miles is not the name of the game here. You have to think more like an o/o, slower speed, better mpg's and not about just running a bunch of miles. You'll make a lot more money if you start thinking like that. Another thing at Act, customers are actually nice to you and respect you unlike at most other driver mills. There's really no dress policy but make sure you don't look like a slob.


Make sure you're asking questions once you start rolling, a lot of the loads you can pickup early/preloaded, drop early - sometimes 24 hrs or as soon as you get there.

 

okay I have one for yall sitting here in Milwaukee Wisconsin at Miller Brewing Company. I have a 10 o'clock appointment tomorrow morning they are allowing me to sleep here on the property. how many times has a grocery warehouse ever let that happen.
