so i heard the reason why cheap haulers haul cheap.

    sitting in the sticks with another flatbedder. he told me he called on a load once. CHEAP load i might add. and asked why the broker was posting loads so cheap.

    brokers answer." russians and bosnians haul it all the time".

    then he made an interesting comment. they steal fuel so they don't have to pay for it. therefore they can pocket that cheap rate.

    gonna have to invest in some locking caps.

    I've talked to a few of those drivers; pretty nice guys, but no benefits and they run dirty, log book wise.

    When they hire drivers. I made one run for one back in 2011. Did not get paid. They also expected me to preform a miracle, Make it in a faster time than the truck could go.

    True, When I was talking to them they stated it plain and simple they expected you to run Illegal.

    A lot of people hate elogs, but if mandated, it would level the playing field. If those guys cant run illegal ay more the freight rate would have to go up.

    Talk to one of them at a truck stop. For $20, they can probably take a paper clip and a jumper wire and get it done for you in 10 minutes.
