Hello ya'll, I am thinking about goin to maverick. I have read good things about both flatbed and TCD. With Maverick's flatbed division, is most of the tarping outside, or is it in some sort of inside dock?
Question about flatbed tarping.

O ok kewl thanks. I just want a idea of what flatbedding will be like lol. I am like 90% sure I will go TCD, but I will consider flatbedding.

Also depends on how busy a shipper is. Many don't care if you tarp indoors, as long as they don't have another truck to load in the door you are in. Once you get the hang of tarping, there are lots of times you'll prefer to tarp outside if you can. Cooler and more room. Flat bedding isn't bad, once you get used to it. I have nearly 20 yrs flatbedding. Sure beats van or reefer IMHO.

to the OP
With flatbedding there's a whole lot more to learn but the nice part is that you are more in control off what happens. -
some places will even let you tarp out in the freezing rain/ hail storm with 35 mph winds. Its fantastic! OOO-RAH!
Danfromwindsor and Brendaroni Thank this. -
If your old or out of shape it is not easy, flatbed is for drivers who want exercise. ..

ah ok. What are the average of the time where you can tarp inside?
