no, I calculated that in. But what you really missed was my tongue placed firmly in my cheek. I'm saying you can log it legal. hence the "on paper" thing.
There's no way you can run this legally in 5 days is there?

Isn't that trip around 4400 miles? That's 26 cpm. Then you have to deal with the Rockies in winter or detour through CA.
There ain't no way you can log that legal.
Edit: That's 4232 going US 287. Considered you drive 11 break 10 with nothing else you could log it in 5 full days. You better have a big bag of chips and two gallons of water beside the seat. Piss bombs out the window while driving. All for 27 cpm. Sounds like a great job.Last edited: May 6, 2013

to me it is..few times i get to run our longest run, about 300 miles each way with drops on each end and its 10 hrs of straight driving and i am beat.
reno- carlin nv. like ive said before i must not be a real truck driver...keep them 600 milers except for every now and then..lol -
In my earlier post I showed how to log it legal. I guess you guys don't understand the difference between logging and running. nevermind, those days are over anyways.

I've done them 850 mile days plenty of times but I've got paid well for doing it. You can't do that crap today.
TwinStickPeterbilt Thanks this. -
You showed 6 days. Show it in 5 with fueling, pretrips and your 30 minutes within 8 hour break.

0 miles left, 2 hours, 35 min still available on 70 with pti's, & 10-min d&h, & 3 fuel-ups (combined with pretrips). Average speed just a hair over 65mph... Yes, I know you wont do 715miles in 11 hours driving in Or/Wa, but you'll do much more than it elsewhere in a 80mph truckLast edited: May 6, 2013

10 min/5 min pre and post trips will raise some eyebrows if you do it constantly, yes I know there are some who do, also you don't show time for the drop/hook. Your assuming an 80 mph truck. I figured it roughly the same as you with allowing for a fast truck, but it still comes out arriving back Tuesday morning.

Done 625 miles loaded in a 62mph truck Sat.in 10.75 hrs. and 658 in 10.75 mt on Sun. Just need to keep the left door shut.

Bottom line is if the company is expecting this to be done as a solo driver operation, then forget it.
On the other hand, if the advertisement is simply understating the time on the road because most recruits don't want to be away from home a long time... maybe they aren't being honest with the actual time away from home.
If I were the OP I would simply call them and say, "I've calculated the miles and times you noted and it doesn't seem to be legally possible." See what they say.
