Lol. It was a way overpowered throw than needed. I had a couple of forklift drivers stop to look at it. Good thing I wasn't in a go go go mood. I probably would have tightened it to the load without noticing haha, though I don't think the strap was quite long enough to go over the cable and to the deck now that I think about it

You loading with a 5 axle guy with a brown intl 9900? I unloaded with a couple Sammons guys that were headed to OKC for a rig move.
I know you move a lot of rough terrain cranes, any tricks for hauling them ? I have to move a pettibone 68k one tomorrow

You're just lucky it's a telephone line and not the power line... that stuff is no joke. I lost a relative by electricution from a power line while hanging sheet metal. Don't mess around with it please.

How long of a well do you have that your loading the rt. crane on?

Grove and Terex do not balance out well for weight dist.
Meaning the boom end will be heavier on the rear.
With the Terex 555 I have to open my trl. 3 feet and have the rear of the crane right up to my neck. But I have a stretch so my rear end of the trl. is a little heavier.
There should be a center mark on the crane.
Put it just a little forward of your center point for weight dist. and go weigh it.
Cross chain and then also straight chain the unit. It will bounce some on your deck. Rough roads just drive a little slower. You do not want to get it bouncing. Easy way to snap chains.
I would go with at least 8 1/2 inch chains.

I am 29 in the well but only a 3 axle tractor. can you haul these boom forward? this is how I have to haul heavynfor me excavators. I am 3 axle trailer so from center of trailer to end of rear deck I am like 27'. the transpprt length is supposed to be 34' total. the width is 9'6" so I am thinking outriggers. I am only going 90miles with it. thanks for the help.Ron
