When I was assigned the load last Thursday, I told local dispatch in Joplin I could be here by Monday 0800, but Tom said Wednesday am was the earliest. I didn't ask about and I doubt he considered dropping it, there were 25 on the board at the time so I'm certain he had more pressing issues than coordinating a sister-agency relay.

Aside from my productivity hit, the only real downside was missing the only opening my doctor had this week for my annual weight loss lecture (I'll happily push that back 3 months). The upside was I killed time by driving 55 for those 1800 miles -- that 9.2mpg should help offset the idling I'll be doing whenever summer decides to hit.

Thanks, I'll remember that. Today is day 10 I think. Provided I'm unloaded in a reasonable time frame, I expect to be home tomorrow afternoon.

My husband went on medical leave and had to turn his truck in, we were in Georgia at the time and had to have the in-laws come and pick us up, it may depend on how long you'll be off, my husband was off for 2 mths

Well all wish me the best. Due to the time it is going to take the parts (or KW claims it is going to take to get the parts) JopMo has decided to tow me from Ft. Worth to the home terminal in Joplin. I won't be getting there in time today to have my meeting with safety, so that will be in the morning. This would have been one of those ideal times for an in cab camera to prove an unsafe lane change.

You can get a b/w dash cam from loves for $99.00. Not sure how long it records but as soon as an accident happens stop it and you would have on video what happened and can possibly take the at fault from the driver of the truck to the other person involved.
