I hate RT cranes last one I hauled was a 90 ton down to Houston it rode like crap. The most scared I've ever been with one was one time on a field move they talked me into loading a 90 ton on my scissorneck that had a 48 inch deck height I was in a 2+3+2 configuration with a tridrive and only hauled it thirty miles but I thought it was going over every time I looked in my mirrors. That was the first and only time I ever did that and vowed never again on one of my trucks.

thats comforting, I think. I am hauling it from pine bluffs, WY to La Salle, CO down hwy 85 for the railroad. It is close to what I can scale as a 6 axle. should end up close to 110k.WY good for aleast 46k on tandem?

You can get 55k on a tandem in Wyoming. If your close on weights why not run 25 to 14 to 85 then you can get 55k on your drives in CO as well seeings as there's no yellow or orange bridges on that route no scales either except for Cheyenne on 80 in WY. You can get 65k on your trailer as well in both states as long as there is no orange or yellow bridges which I'm sure you kno.

don't need that much. I should be no more than 44 on the drives if it loads ok but having never loaded one who knows? can I run witn the boom forward?

I don't see why not as long as you clear when you swing. If your only going to be 44 up front you should be fine on 85.

yeah should be like 12 44 56 in a perfect world, just as long as I am not 12 56 44. should be a learning experience anyway

Coming out from a private lot you probably can, but Terex and Grove says the boom has to be to the back.
NEVER NEVER tie the boom to the deck. You will tweak the boom. tie it off to the crane. Most of the time they will take the hook and hook it into the cable at the end of the crane body.
Hope it works out good for you.

I'm well aware of the dangers of electricity, however, if I'm not mistaken, the power running through those lines would have only been 120v, and polymers can make good insulators for low voltage insulation, but I could be wrong, so. I'm up for correction on that. I know for sure though, that metal is a very good conductor. Thanks for lookin put though.

120/240v should be 3 wires 2 insulatedand a alum. or 3 insulater each is 120 to ground but between the two insulated you get 240
