You can try that, the ports should be the same. Follow the lines from the compressor around to the condensor and back to the firewall, then back to the compressor, they should be in there somewhere.

 

If you still can't find them, consult a professional.

 

The best thing to do is take it to an A/C person. People add freon to systems all the time and it may not need it. Your system needs to be checked for proper levels and leaks.

I had a guy that came in this past weekend that had 7.8 LB freon in a 5.5 LB system. It wasn't cooling and he had someone add Freon. His problem was a faulty compressor and plugged expansion and orifice valves.

 

And if your problem is from low freon, then you are not fixing the problem, you need to find the leak. Not all oils in those recharge kits are compatible with all compressors, so you may actually do some damage too.
