That's true . How could there employees really believe they'd get a $5 an hour increase in wages by bringing the union in ? But the Teamsters gained over 9.000 members . Even without jobs they still belonged to the union .

DHL should have stuck to there original plan and left airborne alone. Then maybe airborne drivers would have been ups drivers.

This is such a load a bull. It is called corporate greed and using slave labor. Do any of prices of the products go down when a company goes overseas? NO! Did Carhartt get cheaper when it went to Mexico? No, and the quality went down. I went to look at new trucks last week. I looked at a union Chevy and a non-union Toyota, both with comparable options. The Toyota was three thousand more than the Chevy. -
I agree with your points . No O/O should even consider trucks built by Navistar or Daimler . We need more companies like Coca Cola and Duke Energy that told Daimler they will only buy Freightliners made in the USA . So where's the union solidarity on that ? Will Teamsters make it a condition in contracts that the employer must buy UAW built trucks ? I was glad to see ABF has replaced Sterlings with Macks .knuckledragger Thanks this.
