I have seen some online conversations about trucking companies who use BMI (body mass index) as an instant disqualification for hiring drivers. Does anyone know which companies do this? I've heard Prime does this. Does anyone else?

JBS makes you get a sleep study done. They will give you a 3 month medical card and you must have it done before it expires. Not sure how the others do.

and you have to pay for it which,in my opinion, is b.s. if companies are going to require driver to do this, company should pay for it.

they dont restrict they just make you get a sleep study. If you need this there are some places that do it cheaper for truckers. Just google it.
If you have any signs you might want to get checked anyhow. Most hospitals will take payments for the testReroll Thanks this. -

There are trucking company's that let you get sleep? I never saw one. lol If your over weight, drive flat bed!

by paying for the test for me was just co pay, so two visits two co pays . I don't remember but it was like 20 or 40 a visit so really not that big of a deal.
