Oh yeah most definitely! I stopped updating about a year ago! If it aint broke then there aint no reason fixin it. I just use that then double check it with my phone and thatll keep down data usage but its useless if theres no service![]()

Heat shouldn't be an issue as long as the phone has enough space to breathe -
Best advice is to just buy one and check it out- you will get as many opinions as drivers who post here as to which one is the best one. Having said that, the top two brands are Rand McNally and Garmin. They share a lot of the same features and premium features like traffic, weather, fuel prices etc and both the TND520LM and DEZEL760LMT run about the same price. Don't ask me to compare the two, there are already plenty of threads on this forum that do exactly that. I'm not willing to start yet another one. http://www.dieselboss.com/ is also a very good place to both compare and buy one.
chimbotano and Pop Thank this. -
Did you tell him what the price of that app is?
Sorry, this was in response to the post regarding Co-Pilot on an android phone. Thunder storms in the area playing havoc with my data access just now.Last edited: May 8, 2013

As for as restricted routes and low overheads, I just check portions my routes for them in the Truck Stops Plus add-on Template, but most of the time you won't have to check.10speed Thanks this. -
it's what i started with originally. but then bought a hand held trucker unit. and traded that one it for my pcmiler.05 FreightShaker Thanks this. -
I guess the question comes down to how much crap one wants to load up on their phones. Personally, I prefer a stand alone device.Big Don Thanks this. -
1.3 gigs of maps is nothing on a phone. considering that the only other thing that takes up space is camera pics and video. and music.
but then. that's why you have an sd card that fits into your phone. for all your maps and pics and music. therefore leaving all that free space on your phone for your other apps. that take up virtually no space at all. -
Depends on who is using the phone and what is important to that user.
