Wut he said, where do u park ur rig where 8' is too close to another. GOAL is not hard to do, unless u think climbing in and out of ur rig is a "chore" then ur in the wrong industry. That is 100% preventable. If u pull away from a spot w/o checking ur mirrors ur in the wrong right there. God 4bid, wut would've happened if that driver was checking air pressure on his tires

That's all you really need to know about this. He admits he didn't know how much room he had, which means he knows the truck is there, and still does it. That is exactly the time when you GOAL.

the op wasn't talking about truckstops across the country. now was he.

    he was talking about quarries.

what happened to the op is a daily occurence across the country. being a former dump truck driver for 10 years. i seen it happen all the time. although they usually don't kiss. but it HAS happened.

    8 feet is too close.

8 feet is not to close, I dont care where you are. We are in a industry where parking close and squeezing in and out of tight spots is a part of life. If people cant get their lazy ##### out of a truck to look they need not be driving anything bigger than sa Chevrolet Suburban

At my DC we park less than 1 foot from eachother. Sometimes it's a matter of inches inbetween bays, and you barely have enough room to walk inbetween two parked trucks. 8 feet is plenty of room. I could park my truck in that hole.

Wow, really? You must be a nervous wreck just about everywhere you go if 8 feet is too close, lol.
