Awhile back I had a few truck that were running under my authority, couple of guys got OOS, because of log book violations. They weren't forced to run
they just did what ever they wanted. eventually my company got a conditional rating, I got tired of dealing with everyone and closed down. Fast forward
to 7 years later when I decide to reopen. I only have one truck, been running it for over a year, have got few inspections and never ticketed. How do I
go around getting this conditonal status updatted

You have to send a letter to the DOT asking for them to come back and audit your company again. Along with this a CAP (Corrective Action Plan) is required. Because of the long time between when you closed your company and now opened it again, I'm not sure exactly how that will work. Where you need to send it and exactly what is needed should be on the paperwork they gave you after the audit.

It may take up to a year before the DOT can come out and actually audit you again as they are "backed up." Also, sometimes, depending on the situation the DOT may also just skip coming back to audit as long as what you've been doing looks good and they can bump it up to satisfactory (although this is rare).

As a boss you don't let your employees do what they want to as you found out. They are a direct reflection of you.

Data Q really has nothing to do with a rating given after a compliance revue.

Yea, DATAQ won't be of much help. That's only used to fix information on or get off violations.

I just put it there as it was on the same page as fixing your problems. I accidently got the quotes backwards. In order for someone to get a compliance review they need to know where they stand and correct info.

He might have to use the MCS-150 form if he voluntarily quit his registration.

To know where they stand and what they need to correct, they have to look at "Part B" which is the Violations section of their Audit paperwork, and then look at Part B Requirements and/or Recommendations and implement the things stated there.

Only thing that will change a rating is another compliance review audit.
