Turn the unit off then back on after you have calculated a route. After the start up splash screen, it should ask you if want to continue the route or not along the bottom of the screen.

Sorry its the 720 not 710. Only thing that pops up is a screen that says hint lol I found it lol
-
same thing basically. I have both the 720 and 520 and they all work about the same. Play around with it, that's a very good way to learn all that it can do. It's very feature rich.
Mark -
My guess what @PCFreak said. I think you are tapping "accept" instead of "accept previous route and continue" when you first turn it on.
Edit: looks like you got it. -
Can I hard wire my 720, tired of the cheap cigarette plug not staying plugged in.
-
You could but I would use the plug and solder a fuse tap to it so it puts outta correct amps/watts
The "pin" is positive and the sides are negative -
Mark,
Hate to rain fire on the parade but, my 720 Hasn't work very well since I bought it. If I was in Louisville and trying to route myself to Chicago it routes me all over the place through Indianapolis down 74 to 57 then off to Chicago 180 miles out of my way. When traveling north on I 65 through Lafayette IN. it sends me off on another Direction. Just going through Indianapolis to Chicago it cannot find its way for some reason going south never has a problem going north it just does not know what to do. Any fix for this database I was at the Louisville truck show and you swapped out database for me and it still has not solve the problem. -
Anyone figure out why TND 710 stops connecting to Dock. Have not been able to update for over a year.
-
My 510 has been really hazardous to hook up to my computer. Corrupts files since I did an update back in March.
