can they apply this to the trucking industry?

and also accept the fact that STUFF happens, and you will only kill the industry by over-regulating drivers

Truckers as a group don't vote in large numbers. If you don't vote, the politicians couldn't care less what your opinion might be....you don't matter. Their ONLY concern is being re-elected, and if you don't vote, and you don't have the money to contribute to their campaigns, you can't help them accomplish that. This is why agriculture has so many exemptions carved out in the FMCSA...farmers and ranchers live and work in their voting districts, provide financial support to candidates they support, and show up at the polls on election day...so in return, the politicians cater to their demands in order to secure their support.

do you actually believe that fairy tale?

what people voted for increased taxes, increasing the salaries of these politicians, NDAA, CISPA, the Patriot Act, plus a whole bunch more

do you really believe that the "Corporate Polluters of the World" have enough votes to sway an election? NO, they do not

what they have is money and lobbyists, and they appeal to those greedy thieves in washington, better known as our representatives

so you keep on believing that fairy tale, i got a better one about a man in a red suit every winter

He gave a box containing pipe bomb parts to a friend... who happened to look inside. He called the cops, and the cops decided the Paramedic (who got himself interviewed a lot on the tube) needed a little time in the slam.

Ok thanks for info. I thought it was strange the radio guy made it sound "IMPORTANT" as if this Paramedic had set bombs to take out others........
I should realize most often its nothing. Just reporter trying to MAKE a story.

Isn't that the point though? This guy is at the site, then leaves just before the explosion. Later it's discovered that not only he has bomb parts, but he's attempting to conceal his possession of the same. Rather damning isn't it? All they need is motive, and this joker is headed to death row.
