I had trouble several years ago with a former employer not wanting to dig out old drug testing records and they were very helpful, I've called them several times since to get a no BS answer about regulations, they were always very friendly and helpful.

What is "Self Citifying"? In a nut shell you have let them (your state) know basically what type of driving you do on daily basis.

Ok I'm an OTR driver, so I certified as an "Interstate driver". Therefore I'm required to produce a DOT Health Card and every time that DOT Health Card I produced that day expires I must return with a new DOT Health Card and recertify.

Ok now what you have described is what as know as a "Intrastate driver" which means you never leave to state in which you are licensed, therefore you are not required to carry a DOT Health Card with a few exceptions. If you have a Haz-Mat endorsement you have to have a DOT Health Card or if you live in a different state than one you work in. Example: I live in Rhode Island and I work for Mass. Hwy Dept. well I'm never driving out of Mass with a truck but still live in a different state.

What I was really shocked to read was this is regardless of weather or not you had a class A or B. I even asked at the DMV.

The OP stated the trucks were 10k to 26k lb. . No CDL required but medical card is required . Some states require the medical card even for intrastate .

decided to go chain of command, thanks for the number though it was impossible to find it and putting it in my phone for future reference.not trying to get the company in trouble it was not their decision it was the manager of our warehouse. but it isnt the first time he has made a decision that could cost the company a decent amount of money. This is not a situation that I am looking to get his job, don't want it. even if offered would not take it. I prefer to be the one driving, hate sitting in an office. The thing is I try and follow the rules as much as possible more so when it is a safety thing.

YEAH I SAID IT..SILLY READ MY LIPS SILLY....he is olny doing it in spite hey thats ok they won't get a good reference from them and I wouldn't blame them one bit.....
