My husband is OTR right now - driving for about a year, and would like to go local. We have a three year old and he'd just like to be at home. Any suggestions for good companies that might be hiring in Charlotte, NC?

Charlotte has a lot of trucking companies there. He will most likely have to check up online and fill out and application. I know my company YRC has a big hub down there, friend of mine just transferred there. Im pretty sure ABF. UPSF, Estes, Old Dominion, and Con-way all have hubs in that area as well.

Ward Trucking has a terminal in Charlotte. Pretty sure they have local runs around there. From what I've heard, they're a decent company as well.

I know of one Athens Paper Company it's a class b truck local delivery company however if you have a class a they will use you as a relief driver for the two othere class a drivers. I worked the for almost 3 years I started as a temp but I only did that for 2 weeks then they hired me pay starts off back in 2008 at 13.25 hr it's a really easy job 8 hrs a day 5 days a week you show up when ever you believe you can start your deliveries . They are located off exit 16 to the light turn left at the light approx. 3 miles look for the office depot warehouse on the right turn right at the end of the road on the left.I would have never left if I didn't move out of the state. The people there are very nice and dont pressure you at all.Ask for jackie he runs the warehouse and drivers..
