Bad Company in Atlanta GA

My husband worked for him for a few months right out of trucking school.... Dan Pace and AMC/ Bentley (or whatever made up company) is awful. He did pay whenever he felt like it, never had direct deposit, as a matter of fact... never had a paper trail. He claimed to take out taxes after we pushed the issue (didn't want to owe Uncle Sam) but it was ridiculously random amounts that were never reported to the labor department. He never got any W2 from him and his fake secretary ignored all of our email requests. This guy is as shady as they come, even has drivers with suspended licenses working for him. Stay far away from him!

 

it sets a very bad precedent to name small companies and names, even if what you say is 100% true

ESPECIALLY since you dont state your name, nor is the person here or aware that you are making these allegations

imagine someone falsely saying obamagirl and samcar are liars and pedophiles, using your real name?

 

First of all, I don't go around slamming small businesses, just warning other hard working people about a company to steer clear of. It shouldn't offend anyone that we prefer to properly file taxes. Not that it is ANY of YOUR business but I have every single email and so called settlement my husband ever received from this company and that is plenty enough to prove the truth. FYI, there is 100% no slander when it is the TRUTH and can be proven. Also, the IRS was very interested about taxed income that there is no record of. I'm over this, it was just a warning and I'm no longer proving myself or entertaining you.

And if he googles his name, he'll see this and won't be shocked

 

Yes he is very shady and I have been with Bentley since feb. 2013. And up until last month I thought he was ok. If I knew what I do now I would have never gone to work for him. But I didn't have much choice. Nobody else would take me on. I do have a past but that is exactly what it is a past. Now I have been trying to get on with another company and he doesn't even respond to them. Now his payroll girl keeps saying that because I supposedly didn't send in two invoices I won't get paid. Even though I dropped off and witnessed the paperwork getting picked up. And the address that is used for fedex was changed. And this woman doesn't realize where the paperwork is because she lost it! Which is really f^^^^^^^^^^^^^ up. They owe me close to $3500.00.

 

I have been in trucking since 1987, and honetly can say, that most all drivers do as they are told. It seems that carriers all think they are in the right all the time and belive each other when in comes to checking on past employment or other things. They are like fish in a bowl and all swim together. Now, drivers are hardly in a position to cheat a company-agreed? And most know that to do to get paid continually, paperwork must be turned-in. I have worked for many companies over the years and if they are no good, I move on.

The point to be made is that I don' think drivers get on here to bash a company just for fun. There must be something behind it. Like this driver who did not get his $3500; do you think he just threw the bills out the window, or refuses to hand them over to the secretary? There are granted, a few cases where the driver was at fault, but few if you ask me for them to bash for no reason or truth. Personally, I have no problem of bashing a company an mentioning names if they did me wrong. Do you think this company will be straight with his next prospective employer? I have worked for only one company over 26 years or so that I can honestly say did not cheat me-that was MS Carriers.

 

I would love to get on with a company that treats me as a person and not a robot. Also a company that will abide by the laws of this great country of ours. But this company (Bentley) was the only one willing to give me a chance to drive and I thought I was doing ok. But this Dan Pace wants to not even respond to another company asking about my employment dates. Now the other company can't verify the dates and won't bring me in for orientation. I have 5 months under my belt behind the wheel since 02-2013 to now. And I drove for a company in 2006 and 2007 for a total of 14 months as of right now. I was in driving school in Illinois for 1 month in 2006 and then again 1 month in 2012 for a refresher in Georgia. I just wish someone would give me a chance. Prefferably someone that isn't going to screw me.

 

Nice come back to the hoolabaloo that freak of nature was setting yoi up to steer into. I b3live youre story 100% no doubt shady characters will always hide behind the veil or sends their dogs to do the barking/yapping thx for all the support on small business minded indiv. That acgially give a rats hoot about success.
