Yes, Big Lake is the place to be.
Devon is an operator, and they have a lot of leases in that area. So there is a demand for crude gatherers and water haulers to haul off of Devon's leases, as well as EOG's. But Devon and EOG don't employ drivers directly.Chibob and superpet39 Thank this. -
well we havent looked at one for several months...the ones we looked at were $1500. a month...one bedroom , then at the other end a closet like area with a small bunkbeds (no door just a curtain) and a super small bathroom...cant really even turn around like Chibob said ...they are super small.....

I putting some serious thought into relocating to TX. Worked for gold spur a few years back hauling crude from San Antonio area to Mustang isl. Really enjoyed it. But my dog goes with me no if ands or buts. I cant remember if they have strict rules about dogs in the patch. She'll stay in the truck on site but is this even ok? Anybody have an thoughts or experiance on this matter?

You might want to start a thread about that. More people will see it that way.trku Thanks this. -
Most operators don't allow pets on their locations.
And where on Mustang Island did you deliver crude? Maybe it was Harbor Island, or Redfish Bay? -
Wish I could remember, bare with me as a native utard (Utah). Everythings landmarks with us. I remember there being a BJs frack service office onsite. Huge crude sillo that I was informed tankers would take loads from. Being right on the ocean. Worked the graveyard shift, the last stretch of road a few miles away had 2 or 3 railroad crossings which I thought it would be a pain in the arse in the middle of the day with heavy traffic to stop at everytime at 3 am wasnt even an issue. Oyaa and a really hard right hand turn maybe 100yds from the security shack, Any of these landmarks help maybe u can correct my location for future stories.

Was the turnoff right before the ferry landing?
