Best Fuel Card Company

We just cancelled our comdata card because they are going to start charging $57 a MONTH for some fuel watcher program they are instituting to help you get lower fuel prices or something like that. We are a very small 1 truck owner operator, and this is very savings-prohibitive, as I do that ANYWAY. And they are definitely going to charge every account that, even if you have a pre-paid card, (which is a big hassle anyway, cuzz we have to pay western union fees to load it, so you're really not saving much,), I am going to check into the NASTC card.

 

Doug, that's a horrible deal.

NASTC's card debits your bank account once a week for fuel you've already purchased, rather than pre-loading the card. And it's $3.75/mo and the stops are free in network. No reason to be paying to load the card, or even pre-paying in general.

 

OOIDA FleetOne Trucker's Advantage has been free to me through OOIDA. I have been getting $40-60 PER MONTH back in additional rebates as well as regular pump discounts.

 

For how long have you had their fuel card ? I posted my savings for 4 Days , last month. It's three times what you got with OOIDA in a month. Don't get me wrong. I Love OOIDA , I'm a 20 year Member , Still, what's real is real . Suggest you look up my posts .

NASTC is the best deal I've found . Period. I don't Pre-pay jack **it. They invoice me , I pay within 7 days . The $3.75 per month is a laugh. I tip a good waitress more than that , for anything more than a cup of coffee.
There might be companies that have a fuel card , that offers better. IDK. I do know this . NASTC goes with me , no matter Who I lease to.

I suppose IF I made it a point to use my card for ALL fuel purchases my rebate would be as much.
I find I can get an even bigger break in fuel price if I buy fuel where it's cheapest. Which often means small mom and pop shops that have no desire to work with a fuel card program that charges them for each transaction.

That means paying cash or on my credit card where I get points earned as we'll as $20-30 instant savings as we'll each fuel up.

 

Well, my experience with the small mom an pops has been , that if you pay CASH , no debit card or credit card , yea, you can sometimes get a better deal than NASTC.
That's why I carry 300.00 - 400. 00 in cash.
Those deals , for me , are few an far between.
Mostly in the Southeast , I've found.
If you know of others , I'd like to hear about them!
One other thing. For most of those I've found , I'll sleep in their lot , but no way I'll use their showers , if they have them. Most , I've found , the bathrooms convinced me to wait.
