This is a great point. Although I think detnetion pay should begin after a reasonable amount of loading time passes. Same argument given for the fine for early unload. Your log book gives you a window of time to operate and deliver on time so if the shipper holds you up dont ask for dentention pay "fine" the broker and let them recoup the fine from the shipper
Fined for delivery early

No matter how you slice or dice this subject it is only one thing...a ripoff or somebody could just be pulling our leg.
If it is true then there is only one thing a dishonest broker understands.....pain. Lots and lots of pain. So rather than cower down you need to learn the physical location of the broker. Heads need to be cracked and kneecaps need to be broken. Thats the only language these type of people understand.
Violence is the answer. -
That sounds like the Lowe's DC in Stockton....If you have an 0800 appointment...Don't show before 0800 on the dot....Yet after the guard tells you where to park...The lift drivers get pissed because you're not untarped and ready to unload at 0800...Sometimes it's just best to ignore the stupidity...

I might just make that my signature.

Of course most of us would rather see swift justice rather than no justice at all against these "Paper Bullies". But paper justice is slow to evolve to meet the problem. I guess the paper bullies will have to live in fear until paper justice can solve the problem they have in treating others with respect.
