How often does Crete pay? Because my neighbor just got hired and is solo. She showed me a $2000 paycheck. She said it was for 1 week. Is that possible???

Crete pays once every week. Lets do some math. Let's say u are at top pay rate of $ .47/ mile and have a really good week of 3200 miles. That equals $1504 before taxes. Of course the driver could have done some extra stops or driver unloads. They could have owed some pay for the previous week and added to the next check. I was with Crete for 18 years . A typical week for me was 2600-2700 miles average if I was on the road 7 days not going home. Most drivers average about 10000 miles a month I think. 2700 miles x $.47 equals $ 1269 before tax. A driver with 1 year experience would start at about $ .37 to $ .40 . Example $.40 x 2500 miles $ 1000 subract 25percent tax equals $ 750.

Also. There is friend of mine just went back to Crete for the 5th time. He says he is running good miles. Tells me I oughta go back to Crete. I quit for sick family member. Anyway, Crete has rules and can be iritating , but there are many drivers doing well. And probably some who aren't. If u are willng to just take the loads and try to be productive u can probably do well. Communication can be an issue but they have changed to more of an assigned dispatcher type system. My friend got a good dispatcher ( asset manager ) and likes it. Others say makes no difference. When it comes to mega fleets, Crete is still better than the others I think. Back in the '90 's they were really good. I remember being offered as many as 12 loads to choose from. And 2 or 3 might be cross country. No qcomm. Those were the days. And I was a company driver. The dispatchers were friendly and helpful. Then they put qcomms in the trucks and it became very impersonal. Length ofbhaul has gotten shorter . Now u work more hours for less miles with more rules and restrictions. And not just at Crete. Things have changed in this industry. Mostly got worse.
