I started with zero contacts and picking off loadboards. I think you will come to realize two trucks is going to be difficult if not impossible to keep both consistently profitable. Loadboard freight can be lucrative if you play the game well and can make good snap decisions. Your first order of business should be eliminating debt then go from there as you get a feel for it.

Quite frankly, Wally, I don't see you having too many friends!

Not to portray that I know it all, because I certainly do not, but I have 35 years of knowledge cooped up in this head of mine, and I am attempting to share it with you, you arrogant ##s - hole!

Like I said, think of me the first time that a broker tells you; it pays for your fuel!

    I'm out!

Wait so you did finally buy a truck? :confused2: I wouldn't dismiss Ivory's advice so quickly. Honestly post 28 was the best most informative info I have yet read on TTR. He obviously knows what he's talking about. Makes me want to become a broker even more. If you can't beat em join em right?

However since you already dove into the pool (by buying the truck) it's time to sink or swim. I hope it works out for you. Oh and how hard could it be to scoop ice cream, put it into a cone, and hand it to the customer?:dontknow: If you could not handle that are you sure you'll be OK running a truck?
