They are a "starter" company that doesn't pay so well. Might consider Prime, they have a great program and pay you $600 while training. That is probably more than what you would make at WSE on many weeks.

WSE is a Comcar company and I wouldn't recommend anyone to a company uses or has in the past lied to DAC and hurt drivers. Prime has been known to use these methods as well.
Being that you are new to trucking you may not know but for a long time ago a driver couldn't do anything to fix lies on there DAC until a Supreme Court ruling said that DAC's did fall under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and those a--holes at Hirerite (DAC) cleaned up their act and starting allowing drivers a fair say about what is on their DAC. Sometime you still need a lawyer, but at least Hirerite (DAC) is trying now. Even now complaints from drivers are not handled in a timely manner and that can really hold you back sometimes when you are looking for job.WannaB_trucker Thanks this. -
I have been with MCT for 2 years now, although MCT has poor equipment and maintenance, WSE is far worse when it comes to the trailers. I got my CDL through them in Sioux Falls, the class was ok, you won't get a whole lot of practice in regards to backing though. The new person doing the class is ex-dot. NO joking or BSing with him. If you were to go through the class, you would probably do it in Sioux Falls, SD.
WSE trucks are from what i can tell, mostly Mack Pinnacle and International Prostars. Set at 63 from what I can tell. Some have APU's. I do know a guy who started with WSE, then went to Schneider for a while, and now came to MCT. Best you will get to for pay will be the low 30's cpm.
For getting into the industry, I'd say they are good to start with. Don't plan on staying to long though, i thought i was going to stay. But i bought a truck on Friday and i'm picking it up in a week or 2. Then i will be looking somewhere else to work probably.
If you have any more questions, i can try my best to answer them.WannaB_trucker Thanks this. -
I approached them back in 1995 after a couple years driving for Mayflower as an O/O. They refused to acknowledge my experience and actually claimed they had never heard of Mayflower. They wanted to put me through school and hang me with a indentured servent contract that alot of starter companies still do today. Bottom line I wrote those clowns down in my book as not worth my time a long long time ago.

Stay away from PRIME! You will regret that decision and wont make money especially if you fall for the lease program!!!
