When the right politicians wife or kid gets smeared all over the highway by an incompetent/unqualified driver it will become a priority

I hope your right but these so called big wigs from the trucking companies seem to be running the gov't these days on these issues.

Hey all!. What a good thread. Glad it keeps going. There seem to be some very knowledgeable people here.
    I thought I'd jump in.
So my quick story. A few months ago I decided to make the journey here to Alberta. I moved here and setup. Grande Prairie actually. I made the decision largely after reading much of this thread. Thank you to all that are positive. I didn't know what to expect but took the plunge. I got all my tickets ( or most relevant ones ) and my class 1 license. I also took employment with a company snubbing. Yep snubbing. Well roughnecking on a snubbing rig. It's a good gig for the most part. The company is ok so far. Of course it is slower because of break up. It was the first thing that came along back in February. The thing is I was intending on driving a bit more. Not so much in the physical labor. Which there is plenty. I keep talking to people and hearing about how some of there day's go. Some seem to have it a little easier. Plus make the same money. Don't get me wrong. I can do the work but I'm getting a little older but this hurts and that hurts sometimes. I'm considering moving to a different gig. Something that pay's the same. My main goal is like everyone it seems is to make some money. Pay #### debt's actually. I've started well now but not at the risk of withering away what's left of my half youthful knees and back 12 hours a day.

In the opinion of the members here. Where should I go. I'm much considering staying with this company and joining the N2 side of thing's if I can get in.(That's still pending a talking to the n2 manager) Good idea? I know all threw out these pages are people asking about money. How much for this and that. 6 figures etc etc... Honestly I'm in the same boat. I only want 450-500 a day. That will fit into my plan. And the hours of course. That's not to much to ask is it?. Should I hold out for a few months more here then fire out the resumes when it picks up more? My other issue is I'm still green. I'm a smart enough guy and safe. I can drive but I know km's are the real experience. But I need the wheel time to get them. Should I hold out snubbing a while longer? Should I take the first driving job I can find?.
Whats a good job that pays reasonable and is easier on the body.

Thanks all. Keep up the good work and drive safe!

Hello, everyone. Great posts. Need a few days to go though every page. But my mind is set now, and i will go there, in which I do not know exactly where to go first. Research, call, pack and be there in a month. Thanks for all wonderful posts here.

Sure would be nice if you could just delete your entire post when you goof rather then just edit it? I have spent quite a bit of time reading and as others have said, there are some informative folks on here..good to see.

That's not a drilling rig. That's just a component that will probably be turned into a pump. Can't you see the building is empty???
