Are you kind to animals?

Maybe is was just playing possum?

 

I have stopped for herds of animals, bears, moose, and alligator. But never stepped to help them across the street. I am embarrassed to admit I have stopped in my POV on a side street twice to carry a turtle across the street with my kids.

 

I stopped for a "convoy of turtles" crossing the road. There must have been 30 of them. I stopped and moved them all to the other side.


I don't like seeing wildlife smooshed.

 

I'll slow down for slow elk...



They can do a lot of damage!

I think the illiteracy rate for deer is too high. They don't cross at the signs.

 

I did that once too. As soon as I approached the SOB he literally took off running like a rabbit to the grass. I never knew turtles could be that quick.

 

A few years ago while on vacation in N.C. (can't remember if it was the year we went to Topsail or Oak Island), my wife and I got rerouted coming back to the Condo because there was a gigantic sea turtle in the road. The police were there trying to help it across. We asked to take a picture but they told us to move along./semirelated
