I know its this year. When this year?
-
Pretty much anytime now, the bulk of it will be through out Maryland, eastern Virginia, Delaware, and south east PA, and last into September.

I like to use a garden hose to wash out my radiator fins a few times per summer, preventive maintenance before it gets clogged with dirt and debris and you have to remove the A/C condensor, CAC, etc. to clean out all the stuff wedged in there. Might have to step up the program this year to handle all the bug guts.
-
Spend some time spraying water from the backside of the radiator through to the front, and try to pick a hot day so you don't mind getting a little wet. I like to park on the lawn so it gets watered at the same time, not everyone has that luxury.

Website I was reading says the northern locust come out every 17 years. Southern locust come out every 13 years. What's up with that?....lol
-
They come out at different times so that "prey" (birds) are thrown out of cycle and can't wait for them in swarms and aren't all eaten. Smart move on the cicadas part.
