I quickly lose all the air pressure in my number one tank when I push down on the brake pedal. I have to apply the parking brake when I'm stopped at stop lights. I can hear air escaping from underneath the cab. I only lose air pressure when I apply the brake pedal. When I let off the breaker pedal the air pressure builds back up again. Any ideas what's causing it?

The DOT will find it for you for a fee. You should just call road service out.
-
You have a bad brake chamber.
-
Its funny how you can know that without even looking at it. I have had bad valves and air line fittings with similar symptoms. It can be anything.
-
Not necessarily, I'd say foot valve maybe.

i would say he has no buisness moving the truck
tinytim and Hegemeister Thank this. -
If he truely has 16 yrs experence as his profile states, and doesn't know the answer to this then he doesn't even need to be driving at all.

I have a very very good idea what it is. But I wanted a second opinion. I was hoping a know it all like you might give me some more perspective. Too bad when you ask a question on this board most of the responses you get are nothing but smart ### comments. Then again maybe you're just covering because you have no idea what it is. In any case I asked for comments on what the problem might be not your comment about whether or not I should be driving.

Nobody could possibly know what the problem is without actually looking at it. All anybody could offer you is suggestions that you probably already know about since you are a veteran driver. I'm sure that that's the reason for all the smart ### comments.
