    Hey y'all :D

My husband has been driving for Roehl since October of last year...making it 6 very happy months now...and he has found his calling. After 14 long years in the military he knows what he loves and he knows who he loves working for. He's decided he wants to take on a 'regional route' which would allow him to be home weekends- this requires a move, however, and we're told we need to pick between 4 cities: Dallas, San Antonio, Houston, and Shreveport, Louisiana.

Any of you folks in those areas? Can you offer some sound advice?

    Thanks! :D

I would say Dallas or Dallas area, Palmer is nice, I would not live any where in LA (no freight) and the people are very different, I would say Dallas or the Dallas area because I like it, always something to do, people are friendly, and you and the old man would never have to worry about that job, plentful in TX, Good luck...be happy

The main problem with Dallas is there are way to many Cowboy Fans for my tastes.

I would find another company rather than moving. Unless you want to move out of the area anyhow. Trucking jobs are available anywhere. I somehow don't think they will pay for your move.

Being a native Texan I would prefer the San Antonio area. Not necessarily the city but the hill country area is beautiful. Boerne, San Marcos, gruene, new braunfels areas are gorgeous. And with the eagle ford shale boom in the sa area jobs are plentiful with the right experience.

Doesn't Roehl have a SE regional? I see you're in GA there should be a lot of companies to choose from for a regional route. Millis & HO Wolding are 2 others that have SE regional and there should be many more.

Shreveport, Louisiana all the way keep your big city life!!! San Antonio, and Houston you need to speak a 2nd language if you know what i mean. Dallas is cool but they are really starting to get ###### weather snow twisters etc and traffic sucks!!
