By choice. When my truck could run 73mph i could make things happen, now I'm max'd out at 65mph i tend to find myself drag racing with more then a few other trucks which i'm not a fan of. At night the only trucks left on the road will blow my doors off so i don't have to worry about any drag races.

i wouldnt mind running nights with a tank... i did it with a dry van and there is something kinda cool about running at night. its hard to adjust to at first but i dont care for it while pulling a flatbed though. still debating on making the switch but just am not sold yet

the truck starts at 65mph, if you manage to go 2500miles (estiimated) and keep your fuel above 6.5mpg, and your idle below 18% (or maybe it's 25%) your truck will run 73mph with no problem, but if you fall out of the 6.5mpg/ 18% range it'll kick back to 68mph and then down to 65mph. The only way to get it back is have the shop reset it and then you start from the beginning.

I lost mines this winter due to bad batteries. When ever it got below 10*, the batteries would start the truck, ended up have a total of four road calls for jump starts. Just to bypass the hassle of calling break down and waiting for a service truck, or another driver that was near by to reroute to me so i could jump of his truck, i started idling.

    jlind Thanks this.

Well that kind of sucks... being from the northeast not running all night in sub freezing isn't too much of an option without a trippak or something....hopefully you get it back up to 73 soon!!!
