Wouldn't that be cheating?
In another post, you mentioned boxes to U-haul stores. Used to be a few of those that we delivered to. Fortunately, I did not get those drops very often, because if I had, the old man that ran the store in Mesquite probably would have been in hospital and I would have been in jail. What a jerk. . .

Thanks for all the responses, truly appeciated. It was actually a job delivering glass.
-
The only way to communicate with these people is to submit app and wait for response........................

OK, that is the SECOND red flag. The FIRST red flag is the line, 1 to 2 day runs, home weekends.
Maybe yes, maybe no. But if they aren't willing to talk to you to explain anything, until you have put in the application, it seems to me like they are trying to BS you. (Or whoever responds to the ad.) JMHO. . . -
I dont understand how ( 1 to 2 day runs, home weekends) is a red flag?
Are there no jobs out there that offer this? Its a local job.......
I take it youve never seen a job ad that says _no phone calls please_ .......Ghost Ryder Thanks this. -
Sure, but most companies that say this want you to apply in person versus some anonymous internet connection. If you were hiring someone would you not want to meet and/or speak to them? Red flags all over on this ad.
-
I understand what youre saying, but some companies dont want to see or hear from you in person until they have checked you out......I stay away from companies who offer little or no info,This company (Old Castle Glass) is a nice sized company and they have a branch in my city, ive seen their trucks and ive only seen day cabs.

In have a friend that delivers Mushrooms out of Kennet Square PA. He goes in Monday morning, gets back Wed afternoon, goes out again Thurdlsday, gets back Sat afternoon, is off Sunday.
1-2 day routes do exist. -
Why would that be a red flag? These runs do exist, but they are hard to come by because the turnover rate is low. You literally have to wait for drivers to retire or die before you can get certain routes with certain companies.Tonythetruckerdude and M2k Thank this.

ExaCTLY....I worked for GSF for over 30 years and when I retired in 2011 there were still 4 guys in front of me on the bid board. The guy behind me in the number 6 spot was doing hand-stands on the day of my last scheduled run....Ghost Ryder Thanks this.
