Looking for a certain speedo dip switch setting. Recently switched from 24.5 tall tires to 22.5 low pro. 2000 classic cat 3406e, 18speed fuller, 3.58 rears. Anyone have this same combination?

I did something similar to my FLD way back when. I just asked the service manager and he looked it up for me.
He needed the final trans ratio, diff and tire RPM. -
Here's the instruction on setting the dip switches only if the VSS drives the speedo directly:
http://www.egauges.com/pdf/vdo/0-511-011-348.pdf
You will also have to change the vehicle speed calibration the ECM, which will be in pulses per mile. You'll have to do the math to figure that out.
PPM = M x Ra x N
Example: 31,200 = 502 x 3.90 x 16
M = Tire revolutions per mile. This information is available from the tire manufacturer.
Ra = Rear Axle Ratio. This is typically found on the housing of the rear axle, or on the specification sheet for the vehicle
N = Number of chopper teeth on the transmission drive shaft where the magnetic pickup is mounted. The value is typically 16, but may be 11.
If the ECM drives the speedo, then you wont have to change the dip switches. The easiest was you tell is if your VSS has 2 plugs plugged in, then 1 is for the ECM and the other is for the speedo. If only 1 is plugged in, or it's only a 2 wire sensor, then the ECM drives the speedo.
Without setting the PPM in the ECM, your cruise, progressive shift (if used), top speed limiter and speedo may not work right. If you care about driver or trip segments stored in the ECM, any value that uses vehicle speed will be wrong.Ezrider_48501 Thanks this. -
need your tire rpms (rotations per mile) check mfr's website or tell us the brand, model and size.
I'll look in my manual. -
514 rotations per mile. Bridgestone M825 super single drives.
