Also, the extended warranty is more expensive over 450hp. But if you need the extra hp, you need it. I will make picture about my fenders. It looks good for me, because I have silver bottom and I chose the silver unpainted fender. They had a very good deal with the "liquid platinum", actually I could get cheaper than the unpainted, but I believe after a few years it will be scratched and matte from the road grim.
I missed two option what I wanted. They put the stainless steel decal plate only on the left side, not on the right. Tho, it is not wide enough even for the IFTA sticker. The other is the audio control in the bunk. I thought it is coming with the VIT interior, because I saw it on the pictures, but when I got it, I realized, that is only an alarm clock. So I have to get up and turn off the radio when i want to sleep.
It is too bad, I did not hear about the zinc coated frame option. I definitely would want it. But for now, I just get a rust proofing oil spray what i have to repeat every year and I can not wash the frame, only before the new spraying. So pretty much it looks like s... in the whole year.
Wow Toskabg! Did you left any option out at all? How much was your list price?
I have the premium speakers, because that is my travel companion. I have no wife on board. Okay, maybe the whole NAVPLUS is not useless, but the NAV parts definitely. Unfortunately I do not think a software update would help with some issues. It has low resolution screen, but I could handle that. But it also very insensitive, and so painfully slow, almost impossible to check the planned route, what is a must, even with a topnotch GPS. If the route need to be recalculated while you are driving, probably you already missed the next option by the time when this thing figure it out. Sometimes it looses connection to the satellite, while my Garmin is happily working. Mostly when it try to recalculate and you would need it the most. Even it shut down the whole unit a couple of times, or I had to stop to reconnect with the satellite.Than a few software issue. In middle of Montreal's crossing highway it found one spot what is not available for truck traffic. So I just could not use it, because it planned every route around the city. It does not realize as a truck route the Ambassador bridge between Detroit and Windsor. Hellloooo! This is the busiest border crossing in North America with 5000 trucks/day. Seriously! 20 years ago I would be impressed to have this thing, even it is not really useful. But my 5 or 6 years old mid level Garmin is light years better. Seriously.MJ1657 Thanks this. -
OK, am already thinking in the replacement...when i'll make sure to ceck all the boxes...too . wasn't rich enough this time, glad others do.
TOSKABG would show us picture of the zinc plated frame when u can...is it regular paint on top or not...tnx

Here is my fender.
The oil is named Krown. www.krown.com For 250$ they soaked the whole bottom of the truck. This is good stuff, I use on my cars for a while, but I did not know they do trucks too. In the tight and closed areas, where the rust like to start it lasts about two years. If you redone it annually, I am pretty sure you will not have serious rust problem for at least 15 years. I tried everything on my old Volvo, to clean it paint it with different special paints, but I could slow down the rust by about 50%. Then I started to use oil spray. I did it myself with a similar product named Rustcheck. It slowed down the rust by 90%. I used the thicker version, what is not good idea, because after a while with the dirt it become too thick, and finally it close out the fresh oil to contact the metal. The best is what last for only one-two years and dry out.
The back wall in the bunk is falling down. I stopped in London Ontario at Kenworth dealership with my list. The first question was: Where did you buy the truck? They said I should go back where I bought the truck, because most of the things from my list are not their problem...... Wow. This is the premium brand dealership. The world's best truck what falling apart after a month and a service network what is not behind their product. Kenworth do not even has a customer line or any other contact information. Just their dealers. If you have a problem with the dealership, you can complain to me.
