Hi, I am looking to find out some info on Smith Transport in PA. I am currently driving all New england states and doing day runs. Been there for 2 years now I used to do OTR back in the 90,s. Maybe I have 20+ years Vans Reefers Flatbeds . I was wondering if thats considered OTR experiance. I could fill out an application and go from there. I am thinking about running the North East again. thanks!

I don t see why it would be a problem. Eventhough you run the New England states, that is still considered OTR. I guess the question that Smith may ask is do you have experience in driving I different environments( big cities, hills, mountains, and bad weather. Seeing that you have 20 years experience I don t think it ll be an issue

Does anyone know if smith offers any CDL training for someone who doesn't have their CDL?! And any details on the company?

No training program at Smith... You go thru orientation, test out, and it's off to the road you go. I just talked to them earlier today and I am also looking to drive for this company come October. I have never met an unhappy Smith Transport driver.
