Hey. Newbie here. I've been looking at a reputable company with a good Program for months now. I had applied for a couple and was accepted, (wont mention who outside of a PM). I'd settled on one in particular until someone directed me to Prime. I have read through the first ten pages of posts and the information is very thorough. The only questions I got really are on the Physical Exam, what would disqualify you? (as I am a bigger guy), and does anyone know if a Kansas permit will carry over to Missouri? In the case Prime does accept my application.

I don't really think you understand what's going on. First, the applicant was accused of a crime of public indecency... what's this guy going to do at a customer's location? Then when asked about it, it's obvious that he was lying about something trivial. Someone who moves into a moral fault so easily won't bat an eyelash about something more serious. Yeah, it's about personal integrity. As a driver you become the face of the company to our customers... something as stupid as unzipping and cutting loose in the parking lot can affect what happens when it comes to renegotiating a freight contract. Like, see ya Prime- don't be calling us either! And that affects all of us.
As far as I'm concerned, weeding out jokers like that is just fine. All he had to do was say that he did something stupid, and wouldn't think of doing it again- and everything would have been cool.TooSlow4Words and californiatruckgirl Thank this. -

It will tell you what will disqualify you. The only thing the Prime doc did that I never had to do before was the "duck walk"; stoop down (not way down) and take a couple steps. I was worried about it, having bad knees, but I passed without any problems.
Don't worry about being big. I bet I'm bigger than you with a BMI of 65, and I am NOT the largest person I've seen here.
As for the permit, there should be no problems with it. Some states will not let you transfer back in without retesting (hello, IL), but that's a different issue. -
The Duck Walk and my teeth are what I'm worried about. Do you have to do the heel to toe? Cause I can shuffle my big butt easily enough. Otherwise I'm in pretty good health.

If you are a recent graduate from CDL school (not sure what they consider "recent", then you may go straight into TnT. If they are using the word "trainer" and not "instructor", then that appears to be the case. It sounds like they are trying to get a decision on which way to put you; TnT or PSD.
Welcome to the wonderful world of trucking! I was accepted by Prime in September, and still have yet to set foot in a truck. -
Congratulations. It is a wonderful adventure
