Thanks frogman for the info about the medical card thing. I went to the licence place that day and It was an hour before they were scheduled to close and they had already taken away the ticket thingy saying they aren't accepting any more applicants. Luckily I had some time the next day to go and was able to renew my Licence and update my change of address. I probably was sent the letter but I didn't change my address for over a year so not sure if my licence was suspended or not. He didn't say anything so hopefully every thing is kosher.

I did send Scott a email when the bad shock got denied to be fixed by Mark. It was on the screen at that T/A to call for approval with no $1000.00 limit. Oh well, I am waiting on some return emails and phone calls. Will see what's up in a few days I hope. Until then be safe everyone. Glad you and your family is ok frogman.

Well my response from Scott was his phone number. So I called him. I told him of our concerns and he said that the cost of maintaining the fleet had gone through the roof. 3.5 mil projected for this year. So he has to look at cost savings in maint if he is going to buy any more new trailers. He said that he is not looking to completely drop the maint account at TA and Petro, and he hasn't touched them yet. But he is considering cutting them in half, to $500.00. That way we could still get items replaced and services done.
i also told him of our concerns about having the fleet at different speeds and he said that was also not his intention. He said he wants to find ways to speed up the fleet, not slow it down. He said that there are cases of air cleaners and cabin filters and windshield wipers in the New Albany shop and he wants us to utilize them as much as possible so that we are not buying these items twice and having them lay around. Finally I mentioned to him about us delivering on our 10 hour break and he seemed to be quite concerned about this happening. He said he would look at some things and see what was going on. That was about all of our conversation. About 10 minutes later I got a call com Mark but I was talking to Dave Oliver and didn't take it. LOL. So I imagine I will hear from him again soon. Scott asked me to keep him Informed and I told him I would.Last edited: May 21, 2013

personaly;i don t realy care who the maintenance guy is or how many they have, just as long as things can get done.i don't get how changing TA to 500 dollars is going to save money.if u have something that needs to get done, haveing a limit on it only slows down the process.we have the same problem we've had sense I've been here.can't get in touch with anyone at nite.sometimes u can and sometimes u can't.they want us to hustle and be efficient to get the loads delivered on time and they seem to be doing things to make it harder to do.there are 2 maintenance people in new Albany takeing care of 267 trucks and 300 trlrs.now we have a 500 dollar limit on a TA account.now I am realy confused.i guess the way to save money is to not get things fixed right
Dinomite Thanks this. -
I think he needs to pull the plug on these old trailers that are costing more to repair than they are worth.

Scott seems to say to whom ever what they want to hear. Not what is actually happening! Sounds like business as usual. Profits are down due to lack of proper planning and dispatch, and management,so where do the cut cost ? At the things that make them money.... Never have understood that thought..... I have to say I'm glad I left when I did... As far as getting stuff from new Albany, that's what I said before we don't go through there that much and most of the time they want to hourd the stuff, but as far as the trailers go there's the root of the problem they don't fix #### there

With the 15+ million dollars per year it cost to have a Nascar team they could afford a few new trailer and have some leftover for maintenance. I guess everyone has priorities though.
-
He owns the company and he likes Nascar. I'm sure that will not change.

If we have to wait for Mark to answer his phone to get repair approval then delivery times will suffer.
I do think that some drivers abuse the no call acct and get things that could wait.
True, New Albany is logistically out of place for us most of the time. Memphis would make more sense or better yet Little Rock. We run 30 and 40 all the time!
This thread gets consistently more negative and by those that were Fre cheerleaders in the past.
We are feeling the growing pains and as much as I would like to think the drivers are being heard I'm not sure. If one has never been down these roads behind the wheel I personally don't think that person understands and we have one that doesn't care what the drivers say as long as he has his bluff in on management but I'm betting our new manager isnt as easily fooled as one might think.
Cheer up guys and report legit problems to management and vent to me.Tennessee Trucker Thanks this. -
Cyber, respectfully you have been one of the worst complainers to have just got here. You couldn't get here fast enough. We aren't in need of new choir members and i personally don't think you have earned your atta boy yet. Best advice...listen and learn.
Just sayin
