    He broke the law by issuing a citation while off duty. The driver broke the law by assaulting the officer. That is all.

    He didn't break the law for writing a ticket, if he was hired by PP, he was legal bound to uphold the law. It's too bad the trucker is stupid, guess he can deal with it in jail. If the trucker had a problem with the ticket, take it to court. Did anyone read that this trucker had a history of violence, maybe you'd like him beating you up for taking his parking space? I'm glad he'll be off the road.
