    Im trying to get some info on J&R schugel. Like average length of haul, what kind of equipment, Frieght lanes, how the company is as a hole.

    Lots of east coast, decent miles. Overall I'm happy, going on my fifth year here. Pro stars, Freightliners and some Kenworths. They have options too, 2 weeks out, regional and out 5 and home 2 program, but I don't think they have that in your area. I would check on that though. Hope this helps you.

    east coast like nyc or New England. whats an average wk for you for miles ill be on the refer side

    Well I'm on the dry side. Yes we go to NYC but its not forced. And yes you will run up that way too, we run all through out the north east. Miles do drop off a little this time of year, but still decent. My average the last month was 2500 a week and 2750 before the holidays.

    Are you looking to do the two weeks out or regional deal??

    Not sure i live in Springfield Ma. my recruter was Erin she said i would start out on refer side and that I could switch but refer would get me home more. didnt mention anything about reginal or two weeks maybe in oriantaion? How is there oriantaion by the way

    Hey roadhammer...
    let me know how things are with J&R.
    Funny thing, I live just west of you in Pittsfield and am looking at these guys as well. Not out of school until May but I've been talking back and forth with the recruiter there the past week. It sounds good and I like that they are a smaller company, not the 10,000+ drivers of some of the larger companies, and they still get decent miles for their drivers.
