It's Wednesday morning and I've only driven 622 miles this week. Bleh.

While I was getting unloaded here I noticed a massive gash in one of my inside drives. Thing was nasty... No idea when or how it happened, just that it must have been some time between the Iowa 80 and Omaha.

Hello everyone! Just thought I would drop in and say Hi! My wife and I have been team drivers with HOW for over 3 months now, I have been with them 6 months and we are both really pleased with everything so far! We have been home for 5 days now we were out for 4 weeks and decided we needed a break. It's been a long time since I posted on here just figured I'd stop in and let you all know we are still alive and trucking! I'll try and stop in more often. I find it hard to keep up with internet stuff when we are running. So far since we've been here we have run over 28 states mostly midwest and west coast lots of California runs. We need to call Shawn today and discuss when we want to leave and what loads he might have for us. It's been so nice being home almost don't want to leave, but we need to make the $$. Anyways I'll stop in again soon. I hope everyone is safe and healthy!

    Weeble Kneeble Thanks this.

Glad to hear it's working well for you guys. I feel the same way whenever I go home, but then I get behind the wheel and I'm home again.

Getting ready to head out here in Kentucky.

I was going to ask the same thing. I'll be home this weekend and am wondering if it makes sense to even try to get out on Monday.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure I wasn't running on Memorial Day, I believe I was in California.

I'm waiting here in Demotte, IN for a couple of hours to let the worst of Chicago traffic play out before making my move to Russell.

And with the drawings for fuel compliance, I wish we just got a fuel bonus. You can bet your sweet ### people would be in compliance and would pay more attention to their driving habits if they got a cent or two raise every month/quarter.

Yeah I saw that come through the Qualcomm. It's better than nothing, which is what we had. There must not be a massive savings happening through that smart fuel system.. Not enough to motivate them to give us a little off the top.

I agree. The smart fuel has worked, they bumped up the pay shortly before I joined so they had to have had some savings. I guess a better way to do it is to set a minimum average MPG and minimum fuel compliance number and whoever meets it, split the savings with each particular driver who met the criteria and how much they exceeded said criteria. Just food for thought.

Just got my PM done, great timing as it's right before the blitz. They did their job, now the rest is up to me. Got a load leaving tomorrow with drops in City of Commerce, CA and Downey, CA Wednesday morning. I'll have a reefer so it looks like cheese or produce back out.

With me and the better half moving to Oregon in a couple of months, HOW just got a call from the company I applied to out there so now they are aware. My dispatcher told me that Marc Wolding wants to talk to me when he gets back in the office about picking more runs up that way. I owe it to them to listen to what they have to say, but I'm gonna have to get through the house at least every weekend as that's what I'll be getting for home time at the place I applied to. It's nice to know they are least willing to keep me here even though I'll be moving out of their comfort zone. It says a lot to me about this company and how they care for their drivers.

Be safe and have an awesome weekend everyone.
