I am not 100% sure of the year but have an older Ford 8000 and it has a pneumatic clutch brake. Just a piston that takes the place of a pto spot. It has a piston that rides on one of the gears to stop the trans from spinning so you don't grind from a stop. Does anyone know where I might be able to still get this piston? It is worn beyond service.

They are still in use in Europe so you can get it from Eaton.

I guess it has a push type clutch to have that brake?

Eaton used to make a air brake that took the place of one of the countershaft bearing retainers. Might try that if you can't find the other.

Local parts store was able to find it and got it ordered next day! No more problems.
