Hello all, I am in the market for a truck and after some research I ended up picking the 2011 Freightliner Cascadia. I looked over the forum and a lot of people are saying to go with this model, but then I found this site where a lot of owners are complaining of a lot of issues with the Freightliner Cascadia. Most of the issues were with the 2008-2010 models. Also found a site with all the recalls the Freightliner Cascadia has, seems like a lot, no?

My question, is there a big difference between the years?
Does the Freightliner Cascadia still have issues that will require the truck be in and out of the shops?
Thanks

Some late 2011 and up are DEF motors, 2010 and down are not. The DEF seems to have helped the EGR problems for now, don.t know about long term, have to wait and see.

Pull the maintenance records on the truck, and see if there have been EGR issues. If it's gotten past 400,000 without a history of EGR failures, turbo replacements... it's probably a good truck. I have an '09 Cascadia, and have had few problems with it (knock on wood!!!)

Just got (3) 2013's and already a factory recall on lighting issues , other than that no problems so far.
