Because you're purdy, lol.I have'nt got a ticket lets see, can't remember the yr but its been yrs ago.Alot of the reason why dot picks on more drivers then others is because the company they're at.The higher the safety rating the more you're going to get picked on and the dot will not stop till they find something.

When you encountered the no truck sign, how did you know there wasn't a low bridge ahead or something? IMO those signs are usually there for our benefit.
Hafta tell you driver, I had this happen to me. I was loaded though. Turned down the street and all was fine until I got to the next intersection. That's when my street turned to a no truck route. Left turn = no truck sign. Right turn = no truck sign. Straight = no truck sign. So I set the brakes and called the city police. I was 10' wide blocking traffic but screw them I was on my permitted route so I figure let them take responsibility. Know what happened? Dispatch patched me over to traffic and they knew exactly where I was. Said it was a stupid place to put the signs. Told me a route to get out of there and thanked me for calling. I got a name and I was on my way. They also told me that a map of all the city truck routes can be downloaded off the net.
IMO, you are not at fault for turning down the street IF the sign wasn't placed properly. By all means go to court, but if I am the judge I ask why you didn't stop when you saw the sign. You are at fault for continuing past the sign IMO. -
I've had to call the police a few times.Better safe then sorry. One time I was on a hwy in Illinois and a bridge said 13"5",I call the cops and he said I can get under it.He did'nt know why it said 13"5".I said ok but if I get stuck you're paying to get me out,he laughed, lol.

that one is in the MCSR. I made the mechanic at my shop mount the extinguisher in all of the trucks because the way Virginia likes to pull trucks over I don't want to give them any excuse.

Hey-I should add I did get a speeding ticket once 52 mph in a 45 mph outside Deming,NM on Hwy 26.Other NM DOT cops knew right where I was,who wrote the ticket and told me that guy has nothing better to do.However, had I been doing 45 it never would have been a problem. It all started with me.Take care.Brian

Sorry, but I'll take jakes over a pack of harley's with pipes any day of the week. Our town has a nice little "Noise Ordinance Enforced" sign as you come into town. Local deputy stopped in and talked to me just as I got home. I have a muffler and not straight pipes on my truck and he gave me a riot act about the jake.
I lit into him so quick about bikes leaving town hard on the throttle on Sunday mornings it made his head spin.
That's a load of bovine excrement any time you want to make that stupid argument.379exhd and cetanediesel Thank this. -
Some police are just money suckers. I have got some nonsense violations: obstruction of view from the gps. Its is tht smallest Garmin gpas sticked on the windshield, you should never stick a gps to the windshield as per officer.
Innoperative marker light. The light was on, it was a regular light next to led lights. The officer said it is much different, therefore he wrote innoperative!!!! No fousferescent strips on the truck mudflaps. I get it if you are bobtailing, but pulling a trailer, who looks at that? And all of them in AZ on I10. I go there often, and I have never seen a police pulling over a speeding car, they only pull over trucks. Definitely a money sucker!!!pattyj, cetanediesel and One_tooth_wonder Thank this. -
