Before you even get to Prime be sure you have all your medical files and i mean all. If you were on any Meds call before going cause there is a good chance they will send you back home and go to the docs and get a release saying you have been off of them for 30 days. again those are are for any non DOT approved drugs. Dont lie about nothing they know.I was sent home for a med release, once gone the called me and said i needed to take a sleep study and have a stress test on my heart before i come back. that is about 12,000 dollars of test. So if you have any medical condition and i mean any get all your Med records from your Doc before you go it will save time. If your BMI is over 39 and your neck is over 16 inches then they will assume you have sleep apnea and will put you through a sleep study which they will charge you around 600 dollars for and will not reimburse you if you dont have it. my experiance was stressfull but i was not prepared so dont be like me.
Be prepared

What if you are on an approved DOT drug and have a note from your doctor stating you have been on it for over 30 days with no side efffects etc and that the meds are controlling the condition?
-
Why don't recruiters mention everything to the prehire. So many get sent home for one thing or another.
-
That is why I am posting as well my recruiter said I have to be on a prescription for at least 30 days and it is adviseable to have a note from prescriber that said medicine has no side effects. The medicine I am on is not listed on DOT as prohibited but a lot of places say it is hit or miss with this medicine...I head out Sunday and would really like clarification...ugh!!!

50mg Zoloft mild anxiety. It is completely under control I have passed a DOT physical at home but I know certain companies have different regulations etc...as I stated the anxiety is completely controlled I havemy doctors sign off on no side effects etc and he has signed off on ok to drive and completed my DOT physical for CT.
-
Is there any over the counter stuff that would have an impact? I'm also heading there for Tuesday start and would like to know.
-
From what I read and passing my CT DOT physical requirements I do not know of any I am on vitamins Prilosec Zyrtec and as previously mentioned Zoloft. Again I passed the DOT physical here but I know different companies have different requirements, my doctor did also write a note that I have been on all of these longer than 30 days and I have no adverse side effects and he signed off on my ability to safely drive a CMV....that being said I do not know if Prime has requirements that are not specific to DOT. Where are you coming from LJ and what time are you arriving Monday? I get in at 2230 Monday ugh and I hear all the paperwrk needs to be completed for Tuesday after my 1 day 10 hour bus ride fun times

I get in Monday around 1300 but I leave tomorrow at 1430 so I'm in for a really long bus ride, even with the 2 hour time change. UGH!!! The only thing I take is OTC Prilosec and general vitamins and sometimes Advil or rather the generic form. I also have my DOT physical card and the doctor said nothing about it, but I didn't ask either, just noted it in the paperwork I filled out for the physical.
My understanding is the paperwork will be handed out Tuesday morning in the hotel lobby, I was told to be in the lobby before 0700.
