Prime selling ad space on side skirts

Snicker! A Landstar ad on the side of a Prime truck!

 

I agree, I'd put ads on the rear doors and the skirts for $750 a month. I saw an ad on a trailer skirt for one of the mega carriers on I95 the other day and thought what a great idea for O/Os. I am currently working on a plan prior to contacting media placement agencies to see if there's any interest. If so, then I think for an O/O it is an excellent opportunity to get some extra revenue. A few years ago there was a company that paid people something around $100 per month to put ads on their cars - the pay was dependent on miles and routes driven. Intuitively I feel that it would be an easy sale to a media placement company because of the ROI visibility - the only issue is that ads would have to be national or an O/O would have to commit to certain regional ads within their lanes.

Anyway, I'm still working the details but would be very interested in getting feedback from O/Os on their interest in allowing ads on their skirts and / or rear doors.

 

Next thing you know...ads on the side skirts, trailer tail, and the doors

The ads must be starting out slow. I have talked to a couple drivers and see Prime in my neck of the woods a lot and have not seen any ads yet...

 

Saw one at sprimo... It was an ad for the ad space...

Yea seen that trailer out in the yard myself .would upload the picture if i could but that function seems not to be working..seen a crst truck with company advertising on it today..

 

Winter is around the corner. I hope you guys carry a bucket with some soap and water to keep those ads clean! :smt101
