I talked to Ellen earlier and she said that there was 9 in the class starting on Tuesday the 28th in Cartersville.
I was actually able too get everything squared away so I will be in Tuesdays class in Cartersville. Been a pretty crazy week, but I'm glad I get to start sooner than later.

I feel pretty confidant in saying that Millis is one of the best out there even though I haven't started yet. In all my dealings with them they have been nothing but honest, helpful, and accomadating. But I will still post here and let you kn ow how it's going.

You wont be disappointed. Training was fun, educational, and thorough. With 9 in the class, you will get a lot of wheel time on the yard, during backing, and on the road. Come with a good attitude and willing to learn and you will be successful

What is the difference in practical vs HHG miles?

Practical miles go from zip code to zip code ...HHG miles go from city limit to city limit. Example: I you go through Atlanta GA, HHG miles will pay the miles to go straight through on I-75 (which is prohibited for trucks and they must use I-285 By-Pass); Practical miles will pay the extra mileage around Atlanta. I think it's about a 20 mile difference. Another example. If you are coming from the south and delivering into Chicago, your miles will stop at the south side of Chicago at the city limits. If you are delivering on the north side, all those extra miles are unpaid. Zip code to zip code pays more miles even though HHG pays .02 cpm more than practical. I think that HHG would be better on some loads and Practical better on others.
