I have been out here for a lil over a month now, Im still not sure of where to go to maximize my per mile dollar. I haul dry van...Ive been going from kentucky to maryland and back. for the most part i find auto parts pay well but they usually hold your rig up for a couple days. Anyone can give me a better area or know where i can look online to find the manufacturers that pay top dollar. I stay east of i-35.

Here's what you need to understand if they're holding you up you need to bid out for the hold up. I have ran into this before made the mistake of actually underbidding the shipment. I called on a flatbed load they wanted to lay me over for a day bid it at $800 broker said no customer wants $400 or less said fine call me in a couple days if you don't get it moved. 2 days later phone rings wanted to know my price he needed it moved I made the mistake of $800 should've gone $1600. The customer needs to understand if your tying up your truck for too long it has to pay. They have operating cost when they're not producing just as we do so pass that along to them. Good luck driver.
